There’s a career throttling epidemic amongst us but today I’m sharing the cure

Click for the first piece of your career cure

There’s an epidemic amongst us.

And I’m worried you might be suffering from it too.

I was on Twitter a few days ago and saw Gary Vaynerchuck (a prominent author, marketer, and entrepreneur) offering some free slides about content creation that his team pulled together. The gist of it was you need to show up every day on the platforms where the people you want to reach show up.

To find the link to get the download, I had to scroll through some replies. And while I was doing that, I noticed something.

“Going to download it later today”

“Downloaded for future reference”

Maybe I’m wrong but my first thought was I know the first person won’t download at all. And the second will never come back to it in the future.

It’s the same reason some people have mile long to-do lists. The act of aggregating makes you feel organized but it lacks the most important thing for getting stuff done — action.

Without action, there’s no progress.

And without progress, you can’t get results.

I know because I still sometimes make the mistake — and it can be costly.

When was the last time you punted on the thing you KNOW will help move your career along?

Maybe it’s creating or updating that Linkedin profile you’ve been holding out on for who knows how long.

Or doing tearing down and rebuilding your resume because you know it’s the first step to landing your dream job.

If that sounds like you (be honest with yourself) and you’re ready to break that cycle today, smash the link below right now before you get distracted by the next shiny object:
