Today’s message is brought to you by middle of the night confusion

I woke up at about 5:30am this morning and I was confused.

My light was on.

Both kids were fast asleep with their lights were on.

Some time between midnight and when I woke up I fell asleep halfway reading the 2nd book in the School for Good and Evil series in my pseudo book club with my daughter.

I call it pseudo because she read all 6 already and I’m playing catch up but we still like to talk about them.

Anyway, I bring this up because I fell asleep before finishing the thing I was working on earlier in the night that I was planning on coming back to — 7 things most people are doing that are killing their resume results.

But I’m not mad about it because clearly my body was telling me I needed the rest.

Which is what I’m writing to you about it today.

As much I you need to avoid distraction and take action, sometimes you need to take a break and recharge.

It’s the same reason I hate New Year’s Resolutions.

The only way to win is if you finish the race, so you have to avoid burning yourself out.

That’s it for now.
