How to attract an audience who will go any distance for you

A five hour flight covering 2,100 miles, getting to bed at 2am to get up at 6am to make it to a 7am appointment.

I just did exactly that, and I’ve been doing it for 2 years.

Before that, I would get up and drive 60 miles in the morning (in bay area traffic) for the same reason.

That reason is my dentist. Actually, the reason is the dental hygienist, Mindy (sorry, Dr. Maher).

I get most people might find this odd but I have my reasons:

First, while I wouldn’t say getting teeth cleaned is my fav past-time, this is only dentist office where I don’t feel like I had 12 cleat-wearing tooth fairies prancing around on my gums.

Second, the office is all and feels more like a family environment, and they know me. (I guess the Cheers theme song was right afterall.)

Third, Dr Maher and the crew offer appointments starting at 7a. That’s awesome for their customers, and I bet it’s good for them to if they can dodge some of the bay area commute by shifting a couple hours earlier.

I mention this as an always timely reminder that being the best at what you do (for your target audience) brings a slew of benefits with it.

Need some extra time off or to work from home? No problem.

Moving your physical store to reduce your overhead or increase capacity? That’s ok, I’ll come to you.

See how that works?

The best part is you can do this too… so off you go!

To your success,

EB

p.s. Here’s a good place to go if you want to learn more about how to Overdeliver for any “customers” in your work or business life.
